Oven Troubleshooting

Sometimes there is an easy explanation to what could have caused a certain oven problem. Here is a list of most common oven problems:

Oven light is not working

Similar to other appliances and regular light bulbs, oven lights have a limited time of life as well. You can check your user manual and identify the light bulb, which needs replacement.

Please make sure you turn off the power before replacing the bulb.

Oven fan is not working

Despite this error is rather common, you will still need to call a technician to diagnose the problem and replace the fan if necessary. Keep in mind, that sometimes it is possible to repair the fan without having to replace it.

Oven door is not in line

This problem can be encountered more often with the older appliances. It is caused by the hinges that become loose over the time. You may check the user manual for further guidance on tightening the hinges or just call a technician.

Oven actively venting hot air

Sometimes ovens may release too much heat from the side walls. There are several possible solutions for this issue. Most oven brands manufacturer offer to buy protective strips specifically designed to keep the heat inside the oven.

Oven door handle is broken

A broken door handle can sometimes be an easy problem to fix. You can refer to your oven manual and check the guidelines for replacing the individual door handle.

Loose door glass

Most of the time you would be able to find instructions for this problem in your user manual. However, it is still generally recommended to contact a technician for dealing with this sort of issues.
